October 13, 2020

WBD recently established its first-ever Strategic Advisory Board by selecting board members who are noted experts in their field and will guide WBD through the next phase of its maturation, assisting in strategy development, employee growth, business development, and mentorship.

“Ambassador Robert Blake, Jr., Julie Barth, and Brigadier General (Ret) Allen Jamerson bring to bear a unique, cross-sectional knowledge of diplomacy, defense, security, marketing, and strategy” said Scott Caldwell, WBD President. We thoughtfully selected this board to bring a fresh perspective to the firm and ultimately help chart WBD’s path into the future.”

Ambassador Blake served for 31 years in the State Department in a wide-range of leadership positions. He was nominated by President Obama to be Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, serving from 2009 to 2013, for which he was awarded the State Department’s Distinguished Service Award. Ambassador Blake holds a B.A. from Harvard College, and an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC.

Brig. Gen. Allen J. Jamerson (Retired) served for 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. In his last role, he was Director of Security Forces, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection where he ensured the physical security of Air Force nuclear assets and planning and programming for more than 37,500 Active-Duty and Reserve component security forces at locations worldwide. She is also the Founder and CEO of Barth Marketing Services, LLC. Ms. Barth joined WBD as Director of Business Development in September 2020. Ms. Barth holds a B.S. in Marketing Management and a M.B.A. in Information Systems from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

During a recent business development meeting, Ms. Barth discussed her strategic vision for WBD.

“We will use the customer as our guide and focus, immersing ourselves in their mission space so that we truly understand their culture and goals,” she said. “Business development is truly an art form as well as it is disciplined. As we go forward, we will have a calculated, meaningful strategy.”
